I walked in holding a 1/2" carriage bolt and, when the clerk asked if he could help, said that I was looking to get a couple more and matching nuts. He said, "Aisle 8, about a quarter of the way down on the right, about this high off the ground." He knew exactly what he was talking about, and was friendly beside.
Love the free popcorn. Great location. For anything I have needed help with, it was ready for the asking if I didn't already have an associate with me.
Everytime I've come in here for a project the staff has been very helpful in either finding exactly what I'm looking for or something I didn't think of.

i called rocky hardware inquiring about a particular product and the sales associate answered my questions in an unfriendly tone. the associate did not offer any suggestions for products i might need in order to accomplish my goals even though i was specific about what my usage would be. in addition, she did not ask any questions that would further her understanding or broaden her thoughts about my needs. in other words, not only did she not try to upsell, she did not even try to sell the ace hardware products, and furthermore, she spoke as if she was bothered that i was even calling to ask a question. i give them a zero on customer service and if they weren't in a convenienct location to meet my immediate need i wouldn't shop there at all.
